"Skyfall" the 23rd film in the James Bond franchise opened this weekend with record breaking earnings. Opening overseas in 25 markets, the film grossed an astounding $77.7 million and was #1 everywhere.
In the UK, earnings were an estimated $32.4 million, beating the all-time Saturday attendance record, as well as being the biggest opening of 2012 and the biggest 2D Friday-to-Sunday opening weekend in history there.
This installment earned 76% more than "Casino Royale", and 30% more than "Quantum Of Solace" on their opening weekends.
