Gary Oldman to Star in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
Gary Oldman has signed on to join the cast of the upcoming film "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes".  

The actor will be playing the leader of a human colony, after most of humanity has been wiped out by intelligent apes that now rule the world.  The story takes place about 15 years after the events of  "Rise of the Planet of the Apes".  Oldman's character is a military type and a former police commissioner.  

The cast includes Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke and Kodi Smit-McPhee. The script was written by Mark Bomback.
