The story of the film was set in the near future where time travel is regulated by a special department of the police force. Van Damme's character discovers a politician's crooked scheme of using time travel to further his political career.
The reboot will re-imagine the story as a beginning to a possible franchise.
Producing the film will be Marc Shmuger and Tom McNulty.
