The Equalizer, the popular 2014 film starring Denzel Washington, will be getting a sequel.

While rumors have been swirling around since last year, no official announcement was made until today.

Denzel Washington starred as Robert McCall, alongside Chloe Moretz and Marton Csokas. He is expected to reprise his role.

The film is based on the 1980 TV series of the same name.

No release date has been announced yet.
