Michael Bay to Produce Universal's Little America
Universal has acquired the rights to Little America, a futuristic adventure film that will produced by Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes.

The film is set in a dystopian future where America is now bankrupt and China is looking for the country to make good on its debts.  America, which in the film is run by a Trump-like president, is now owned by China, and people are moving there to look for work.

The film is said to have the feel of John Carpenter's Escape from New York, and features an ex-American Force Recon member searching an American ghetto for a Chinese billionaire's daughter.

The spec for the film was written by Rowan Athale who worked on Wasteland.
