Netflix has picked up "Robert Parker's Wonderland", which will be an adaptation of the novel by Ace Atkins. The film will star Mark Wahlberg and will be directed by Peter Berg.
The film will follow the story of Spenser, the subject of the Spenser Series of books, who finds himself back in the underworld of Boston after being released from prison. He discovers the truth about a much-publicized murder, as well as the conspiracy surrounding it.
Wahlberg will produce alongside Neal H. Moritz (Original Film banner), Stephen Levinson and Berg (Film 44).
This is another huge get for Netflix, who already has had tremendous success with both film and TV productions.
