The next season will take place in Los Angeles in the late 1930s, and will focus around a shocking murder that is being investigated by Detective Tiago Vega (Daniel Zovatto). The show will also deal with the racial tensions of the time as well as the change going on in the city at that time with infrastructure and growth, and the city's deep Mexican-American traditions and history.
Six-time Tony nominee and three-time Tony winner Lane will be playing the role of Lewis Michener, a veteran police officer in the LAPD. He works alongside Detective Vega, becoming his mentor. The series also stars Natalie Dormer, Jessica Garza, and Johnathan Nieves.
Production on the new season will begin later this year.
