Ben Affleck was out and about doing press recently for "Triple Frontier", the Netflix film he stars in, and was asked about a possible sequel to his film "The Accountant".
Affleck told Collider, "Yeah, I hope so. I would love to. We've talked about kicking some ideas around, this last movie we just did. We talked to the studio and they seemed interested, and they kind of brought it up so, we're looking to do that. I think it would be fun. I love Gavin, I love the movie I just did with him [Torrance]. I had a great experience and I love the character in The Accountant. I'd certainly be open to it."
The 2016 film also starred "Walking Dead" and "Punisher" alum Jon Bernthal, as well as Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, John Lithgow, and Cynthia Addai-Robinson. It was directed by Gavin O'Connor. It starred Affleck as an autistic man whoi is a forensic accountant who works with clients involved in the underworld. He also happened to be highly trained by his US Army PSYOP father in fighting; something that comes in handy when he finds himself a target of assassins.
Director O'Connor has stated that he is also interested in doing a sequel.
