CBS has ordered a pilot for an Equalizer series, which will star and be executive by Queen Latifah. The series hails from Andrew Marlowe and Terri Miller, Davis Entertainment, Flavor Unit, Martin Chase Productions, Universal Television, and CBS TV Studios.
The original CBS TV series, which starred Edward Woodward as Robert McCall, was released in 1985 and lasted for four seasons. Two films were also released based on the story, both starring Denzel Washington as McCall.
Queen Latifah will now wear the Equalizer crown, with a new take on the story.
The series will be written by Andrew Marlowe and Terri Miller.
