Neill Blomkamp Makes Secret Horror Film During Pandemic

Neill Blomkamp (District 9) has made a secret film during the pandemic. The supernatural horror flick was filmed during the summer in British Columbia. This will be Blomkamp's first film since 2015's "Chappie".

The film is said to star mostly Canadian actors and is a project that Blomkamp has wanted to do for a long time. It takes the place of the Taylor Kitsch led action film that he was supposed to shoot this year. That film, "The Inferno", has been pushed back to 2021.

Blomkamp's "District 9" grossed $211 million at the box office and his "Elysium" grossed $286 million.

No word on a release date yet, but production is expected to wrap up in the spring.
