Ray Liotta's publicist has confirmed the Goodfellas star died in his sleep in the Dominican Republic. He was 67 years old and was in the Caribbean shooting the upcoming feature film, "Dangerous Waters". His health status and cause of death have not yet been disclosed.
Known for his role in the Martin Scorsese directed mobster drama, he also portrayed real-life Baseball player, Shoeless Joe Jackson, opposite Kevin Costner in 1989's Field of Dreams, More recently he found success in Marriage Story as a cutthroat attorney representing Adam Driver's character in a messy divorce as well as returning to the Mafia world in the Sopranos prequel, The Many Saints of Newark.
His upcoming projects include Elizabeth Banks' directorial debut Cocaine Bear, scheduled for a February 2023 release, The Substance and the aforementioned Dangerous Waters.
He is survived by his daughter, Karsen, and his fiancé, podcaster Jacy Nittolo.
