Disney has made some scheduling changes to their film release lineup.
"The Marvels", which was originally slated for a July 28, 2023 release, will now hit theaters on November 10. Moving into the spot will be "Haunted Mansion", which was originally slated for an August 11, 2023 release date.
The film is said to be a continuation of the story of Carol Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel, who was introduced in the 2019 film of the same name. However, it will also introduce new characters and explore the concept of the Marvels, a team that includes Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan), and Monica Rambeau (played by Teyonah Parris, who previously appeared in the Disney+ series "WandaVision").
"There's something immensely powerful about seeing Monica (Teyonah Parris) and Kamala (Iman Vellani) and Carol (Brie Larson) together in a frame. To me, it's only akin to the first ‘Avengers' movie and seeing the six of them together in a frame. It's chill-inducing," said Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige.
