Beloved Film 'The Miracle Club' Returns to Theaters Nationwide on August 18th

On August 18, "The Miracle Club" will be coming back to 200-300 movie theaters nationwide, after an "overwhelmingly positive response" from theatergoers.

The film is set in 1967 and stars Maggie Smith, Kathy Bates, Laura Linney, and Agnes O'Casey as lifelong companions, residing in a close-knit community near Dublin. United by a shared aspiration, they yearn to win in a church talent competition. The grand prize is a trip to the revered French town of Lourdes, renowned for its annual influx of countless pilgrims. Their cherished aspiration materializes into reality, but the journey triggers the resurfacing of long-buried emotional injuries. In their quest for a miracle, these women are compelled to confront their personal histories. Alongside them, Stephen Rhea and Michael Collins also grace the screen.

Sony Pictures Classics said, "The film first opened in 600+ theaters nationwide on July 14, 2023, and due to the overwhelmingly positive response it has received from audiences, theaters have seen a demand for additional playdates."

Directed by Irish director Thaddeus O'Sullivan, the film debuted at Tribeca in June and has earned over $1.72 million. Earning an impressive 84% approval rating from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, this film has garnered enthusiastic recommendations from viewers. In a recent review, the movie was described as "a delightful experience awaiting mature audiences."

"The Miracle Club", based on a story by Jimmy Smallhorne, was written by Smallhorne, Timothy Prager, and Joshua D. Maurer.
