The world of "The Boys" is set for a major expansion with the announcement of its first spinoff, "Vought Rising". This eagerly anticipated prequel will feature returning stars Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash, who will reprise their roles as Soldier Boy and Stormfront, respectively. The spinoff promises to delve into the origins of Vought, shedding light on the characters' pasts with a dark and thrilling narrative set in the 1950s.

Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash will not only star in "Vought Rising" but also serve as producers for the project. The news is expected to be officially unveiled at The Boys Comic-Con panel, where Ackles will make an in-person appearance while Cash will join via video. This announcement is anticipated to be one of the most significant TV highlights at the convention, generating considerable excitement among fans of the franchise.

The new series will be helmed by Paul Grellong, who will serve as executive producer and showrunner. Grellong, who has worked on notable series such as "Revolution" and "Law & Order: SVU", will collaborate closely with Eric Kripke, the creator and executive producer of "The Boys". Together, they aim to deliver a gripping narrative that explores the twisted origins of Vought and the early exploits of Soldier Boy and Stormfront, known in this era as Clara Vought.

"Vought Rising" will dive into the dark and complex history of Vought, featuring a murder mystery set against the backdrop of the 1950s. The show will explore Soldier Boy's and Stormfront's origins, revealing the sordid maneuvers and brutal realities of their pasts. With its promise of a grisly, blood-soaked saga infused with Compound V, the series is set to be a provocative addition to *The Boys* universe.

The expansion of "The Boys" franchise continues to grow, following the success of the flagship series and its other spinoffs, including the animated "The Boys Presents: Diabolical" and the college-set series "Gen V". Ackles, who will also star in the upcoming thriller "Countdown", has a notable connection with Kripke that dates back to their collaboration on "Supernatural". Meanwhile, Cash brings her talent from previous roles in "You're The Worst" and "Welcome To Flatch".
