Vatican Denies Sony's Request To Film at Certain Chruches in Rome
"Angels & Demons" will have to rely on set designers to film some scenes that take place in Rome. Sony had asked permission of the Vatican to film in Santa Maria del Popolo and Santa Maria della Vittoria, two churches in Rome.  According to the Associated Press they were also denied access to St. Peter's, where most of the film takes place.

"Traditionally, we read the script, but in this case that was not necessary," said Fr. Marco Fibbi, spokesman for the Diocese of Rome. "The name Dan Brown was enough."

The follow up to "The Da Vinci Code" stars Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon.
