Cast Announced For Footloose Remake
In a long line of movie remakes, "Footloose" is now having its turn at being re-introduced to the world. According to Paramount Pictures, the film, which originally starred Kevin Bacon and John Lithgow, will be released on April 1, 2011.

The cast will include relative newcomer Kenny Wormald (MTV's "Dancelife") as the lead role of 'Ren', Dennis Quaid as 'Reverend Moore' and Miles Teller as 'Willard'. Rounding out the cast will be the lead female Julianne Hough of "Dancing With the Stars" fame.

The film will be produced by Craig Zadan, Neil Meron, Brad Weston and Dylan Sellers and directed by Craig Brewer. Choreography will be done by Jamal Sims (Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour).
