Stephen Amell, who has made appearances on The Vampire Diaries and 90210, has signed on to play the lead in CW's new series, "Arrow".
"Arrow" will be a new take on the DC Comics story of the character Green Arrow. The character is a vigilante who fights crime armed with a bow and arrow, as well as martial arts skills.
The pilot will be directed by David Nutter and written and executive produced by Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim.
