Roland Emmerich to Direct White House Down
Sony pictures has acquired "White House Down", a film about a paramilitary takeover of the White House. James Vanderbilt was paid $3 million for the script. Vanderbilt also wrote the script for "The Amazing Spider-Man".

Roland Emmerich is in talks to direct the film, but will also be producing along with partner Harald Kloser and Mythology Entertainment partners Bradley Fischer, Vanderbilt, and Laeta Kalogridis.

Emmerich's next project will be "Singularity" with Columbia Pictures.
