Disney Hires Brad Bird To Direct Secret 1952 Film

Brad Bird, director of "The Incredibles" and "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" , is on track to direct "1952", for Disney Pictures.

There is no word on what the plot may be for the film, but is said to be a "tent pole with multi-platform aspirations". The film was written by Damon Lindelof (Prometheus) and Jeff Jensen.

Bird is currently developing "1906", about the infamous San Francisco earthquake of that year. Disney is said to have hopes that their film will be his next project. Shooting will begin next year.
