The Americans Gets Renewed for Second Season by FX
"The Americans", The FX drama that premiered just four weeks ago, has already been green-lit for a second season.

The 13 episode season was ordered after the impressive ratings the show earned for its first few episodes.   "The Americans has quickly established itself as a key part FX's acclaimed drama line-up," said FX president John Landgraf.  The show premiered with 3.22 million viewers, beating out both "Sons of Anarchy" and "American Horror Story" debut ratings.

The show was created by Former CIA agent and Falling Skies scribe Joe Weisberg.  he also executive produces alongside Joel Fields, Graham Yost and Amblin TV's Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank.

Season 1's finale will air on May 1.
