Syfy Cancels Nightflyers After One Season
Syfy has decided to cancel "Nightflyers" after one season. The series is based on George R. R. Martin‘s novella of the same name.

While some are probably questioning why the network would throw the towel in so quickly, the series is the most expensive that Syfy has ever developed. It was a big gamble for the network and clearly, it wasn't paying off. The series was released in its entirety by Syfy on their streaming platforms as well as airing it on their network for 10 consecutive nights, 1 for each episode.

The series' ratings dropped from 623,000 to 420,000 live viewers and given their costs, it apparently wasn't enough to justify a second season.
