Stephen King's novel, "Lisey's Story" will be coming to the small screen. Apple has given a straight to series order for the project. Stephen King will be writing the 8-episode series as well as executive producing.

The series will star Julianne Moore and will follow the story of a widow of a famous author who re-lives the terror brought into their lives by a former fan.

J.J. Abrams and Ben Stephenson of Bad Robot Productions will also serve as executive producers. This will be Abrams' third show for Apple, the other two being "Little Voice" and "My Glory Was I Had Such Friends".

Apple's upcoming Apple TV+, which will launch this fall, now has over two dozen shows on their slate.
