Disney has decided that they will cancel their plans for the European press launch for Disney+ in London due to the coronavirus.
The event was to host hundreds of people, and after the number of people infected and the death toll of the virus have continued to climb, it was deemed a risk they weren't willing to make.
The company commented about the cancelation saying "Due to a number of media attendee cancellations and increasing concerns at the prospect of traveling internationally at this time, we have decided to cancel our Disney+ launch events scheduled to take place on Thursday and Friday."
Disney+ will launch in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Switzerland on March 24 and other markets including Belgium, the Nordics, and Portugal, this summer.
