The trailer release for the upcoming Amazon Prime Video series "Citadel" has been delayed after a devastating train crash in Greece. A part of the trailer shows scenes that take place on a luxury train and is believed to show an accident.
"Out of respect for our international community and due to yesterday's devastating breaking news from Greece, we are respectfully holding on sharing the official trailer for ‘Citadel,'" said Prime Video in a statement. They added that they will announce a new trailer release date soon.
The train crash, which happened Tuesday night, has so far killed at least 36 people. This tragedy occurred after a passenger train collided head-on with a freight train.
"Citadel" was announced in 2020. The series is being produced by Anthony and Joe Russo, the directors of Marvel's "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame." The show is described as a global thriller that will feature an interconnected story spanning multiple countries. The cast includes prominent actors such as Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Stanley Tucci, among others.
The series will premiere on April 28.
